Reaching the million mark

From the very beginning, Namsnails faced many challenges. One of these challenges was breeding with snails. At first, we relied on the natural method of breeding snails where the breeding snails were kept for a certain period of time in the parks where they laid their eggs in the ground. Afterwards, the adult snails were then removed, and the eggs were left to hatch. However, this method presented challenges, such as keeping count of the baby snails. This made it difficult to predict production.
A crucial factor in snail breeding is population density. When overpopulation occurs, new problems also arise. Diseases and dwarfism become a reality as the snails compete for space. With natural breeding methods, it is difficult to control these challenges.
The solution to this problem was to build a hatchery. The hatchery allows us to control how many eggs are laid and thus the quantity of snails that is in production. It is also more economical since the snails are kept for a shorter period of time in the growing units compared to the natural method.
The hatchery plays a vital role on our farm, and we are excited to announce that our hatchery has officially reached a production of 1 million eggs per week! This achievement marks a significant milestone in our journey and is a proud moment for our farm.
From the start, we have envisioned a thriving and sustainable production system that would support the demand for high-quality snails. Even though we have reached a production of one million eggs a week, it means the hatchery is only operating at 50% capacity! Our aim is to reach two million eggs per week consistently.
This achievement is not just about the numbers, but it is also a testament to the proficient management, dedicated team effort, and the commitment our staff have put into the hatchery process. With the first milestone reached, we are even more motivated to achieve the next milestone of two million eggs per week.
Our journey is just beginning. As we celebrate this achievement, we remain focused on innovation, sustainability and excellence in all aspects of what we do. We are proud of each of our staff members for their dedicated hard work.
